"Take The Right Steps Into Obedience"

What Is S.T.R.I.D.E?

Welcome to S.T.R.I.D.E., our groundbreaking program designed exclusively for reactive dogs. If you’re seeking a comprehensive solution that focuses on teaching dogs right from wrong with precise timing, you’ve come to the right place.

YOU ASKED, WE LISTENED:

Our clients  wanted a program that gives a result in a defined time. They wanted full control of their dogs on leash.

S.T.R.I.D.E., which stands for Strategic Training for Reactivity and Improved Dog Etiquette, goes beyond traditional obedience training. We understand that reactive dogs require specialized attention and a training approach that emphasizes the importance of timing and teaching them the difference between right and wrong.

Our program is not intended for puppies or individuals looking for basic obedience training. Instead, it is tailored for dedicated dog owners who are committed to transforming their reactive dogs into well-behaved companions. We believe that timing is crucial when it comes to effective training. By understanding the significance of timing, we ensure that your dog receives clear and consistent feedback, helping them distinguish between appropriate and inappropriate behaviors.

In S.T.R.I.D.E., we prioritize the comfort and well-being of your dog throughout the training process. Our tools of choice are a leash and chain collar, carefully selected for their effectiveness in providing clear communication and guidance. We recognize that dogs need to feel comfortable and secure with these tools, and our experienced trainers will guide you on how to introduce and use them appropriately.

In our comprehensive 4-week program, you will embark on an educational journey that equips you with essential skills to effectively manage and control your reactive dog. Through a series of expertly designed lessons, you will learn how to:

  1. Master Leash and Collar Techniques: Utilize the leash and chain collar with proper timing to communicate expectations and guide your dog’s behavior effectively.

  2. Establish Right from Wrong: Develop a clear understanding of the difference between desirable and undesirable behaviors and how to teach your dog these distinctions using precise timing.

  3. Foundation Exercises: Lay the groundwork for a well-behaved dog by teaching fundamental commands such as sit, downs, and stay, reinforcing the concept of right behavior.

  4. Utilizing Equipment: Understand the importance of regularly reviewing and maintaining your dog’s equipment to ensure their comfort and safety during training sessions.

  5. Eliminate Pulling/Heel: Utilize timing and consistency to eliminate pulling behaviors and teach your dog to walk politely by your side, reinforcing the concept of right behavior on a leash.

  6. Redirection vs Correcting: Learn to redirect your dog’s attention away from triggers and correct undesired behaviors with precise timing, effectively reinforcing right from wrong.

  7. Achieve Loose Leash Walking: Master the art of loose leash walking, allowing your dog the freedom to explore while maintaining control, reinforcing the concept of right behavior on a leash.

  8. Control the Head: Understand the importance of head control techniques, enabling you to direct your dog’s focus and discourage reactive responses with well-timed guidance.

  9. Balance Freedom and Working Mode: Learn how to balance granting your dog freedom with maintaining a focused working mindset during training sessions, reinforcing right behavior.

  10. Identify Signs of Aggression: Develop a keen eye for recognizing subtle signs of aggression and learn how to address and manage them promptly and effectively.

  11. Navigate Social Encounters: Gain the skills to confidently walk past other dogs and greet people with appropriate behavior, reinforcing the concept of right behavior in different scenarios.

  12. Establish Reliable Recall: Teach your dog a reliable recall command using a leash, reinforcing the concept of right behavior and enhancing safety through precise timing.

In addition to these core components, our S.T.R.I.D.E. program offers exclusive bonus content to enhance your learning experience further. Through class time education, engaging presentations, informative material handouts, practical homework assignments, and instructive videos, we provide a comprehensive and immersive training environment.
